Ingredients

1 cup milk
1½ cups water
½ tablespoon salt
½ Turkish tea glass vegetable oil
Flour as needed
(Filling) 400 g ground beef
(Filling) 4 onions
(Filling) 3 green peppers
(Filling) 1 tomato
(Filling) 1 teaspoon tomato paste
(Filling) 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
(Filling) 1 teaspoon black pepper
(Filling) 1 dessert spoon salt
Vegetable oil for brushing between the layers
3 tablespoons yoghurt

Recipe Steps

1

Preparation

Knead the dough until it reaches an earlobe-soft consistency, then divide it into 20 pieces, each slightly larger than a walnut.

2

Roll each piece into a circle about the size of a dessert plate. Stack the first 10 sheets, brushing each layer with oil. Roll this stack out to fit the baking tray.

3

Spread the prepared filling evenly over the dough. Stack and roll out the remaining 10 sheets in the same way and place them over the filling.

4

Whisk the yogurt with a little oil and spread it over the top.

5

Bake at 180°C (356°F) for 50 minutes.

6

Once removed from the oven, cover with a damp cloth to prevent drying out. Let it cool slightly before cutting and serving.
